Development Workflow

A simple, reliable workflow for shipping high-quality changes.

1) Branch and scope

  • Create a focused branch.
  • Keep one concern per PR when possible.
  • Avoid mixing formatting-only changes with feature changes.

2) Build in small steps

  • Prefer small commits with clear intent.
  • Extract shared logic into packages/* early.
  • Keep app boundaries clean and explicit.

3) Run local quality checks

bun run lint
bun run format
bun run typecheck

Run tests for the surfaces you touched.

4) Open a PR with context

Include:

  • What changed
  • Why it changed
  • How it was tested

Clear PR context speeds up review and reduces regressions.

5) Merge-ready checklist

  • No lint/type errors
  • No dead code or unused imports
  • Docs updated for behavior/config changes
  • CI green
